Welcome to Chigwell Primary Academy, we are a small friendly school who inspires enthusiasm for learning, to ensure achievement for every child both academically and personally, with pupil well-being and happiness at the heart of all we do. We aim to teach our children how to grow into independent learners, who can work and co-operate together, developing the knowledge and skills they will need to become confident, resilient, responsible and respectful members of their community. Chigwell Primary Academy is a friendly and inclusive learning community, where the highest expectations and aspirations are set for all of our pupils. We want our children to enjoy their education and to move onto secondary school, full of confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to meet the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum whilst giving our pupils the vital background knowledge and ‘cultural capital’ required so they can be informed and thoughtful members of our community. We provide a broad range of opportunities and experiences for our pupils through the curriculum, which will enrich their lives, help them to gain an insight into the world outside of their immediate locality and to build aspirations and know what is possible. The REAch2 11 BEFORE 11 initiative is embedded into our curriculum and provides 11 exceptional experiences which will inspire and challenge our children. Everything we do is about helping children develop the character traits which will help them thrive as they graduate from Primary School. We aim for every child to leave us knowing what they are passionate about and what they are capable of.

The individual child is at the heart of everything we do. We see our school community as a 'family', where pupils are cared for, nurtured and supported. We are truly fortunate to belong to a school 'family', with its rich and diverse: community, culture, religions and languages. Staff, children and parents at Chigwell Primary Academy foster an atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance and high regard for all members of society and for themselves.

Our aim is for all of our children to be ambitious, make excellent progress and demonstrate our core values of respect, responsibility and resilience. We are proud of our school and all those who work and learn in it. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.
