At Chigwell Primary Academy we are committed in our approach to look to provide opportunities beyond the ‘subjects’ we teach to enrich the lives and experiences of our pupils, in order that they can explore their interests, see what is possible and widen the choices that they may make in their futures. Our SMSC curriculum opportunities reflect this commitment. We enhance pupil’s learning through educational trips and visits, including residentials, which help to develop life skills and independence. Children are given roles and responsibilities, to encourage them to take an active role in school life and beyond. Academic, sporting, creative and personal development are celebrated across the curriculum both inside and outside of school.
