Welcome to Green Class – Year 3

In Green Class, we believe every child is a curious explorer, ready to dive into exciting learning adventures! This year, our Year 3 pupils will build on their foundations in reading, writing, and maths, while developing greater independence and confidence across all subjects. 

We’ll journey through fascinating topics in science, such as states of matter, electricity, sound, and the living things and their habitats, while sharpening our historical thinking with studies of ancient civilizations like the Romans, Anglo Saxons and Violent Vikings. In geography, we’ll explore moving mountains, Fantastic France, Amazing Amazon and beyond. 

Our budding writers will craft imaginative stories, persuasive texts, and informative reports, while readers will deepen their comprehension and vocabulary through a wide range of genres. In maths, we’ll master times tables, tackle fractions, and solve real-world problems with reasoning and resilience. 

Creativity shines in Green Class through art, music, and design technology, and we’ll also grow as digital citizens in computing. With a strong focus on personal development, teamwork, and kindness, Green Class is a place where every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired.
